Results from recent Tournament held in Coffs Harbour 2010
The team performed with great sportsman like behaviour, with all competitors coming away with a trophy.
Some remarkable results on the day were 2 competitors who participated at their first tournament Max Waegar who is a yellow belt being our first trophy winner with a 1st place in the Traditional Forms doing Tan Gun Hyung later fighting in the 3rd -4th final to take out 3rd place and Christian Englebrecht who fought like a little champion in the final only to be awarded 2nd to a very experienced fighter.
Some seasonal pros namely Geone Drinkwater who won all of her Sparring events and 2nd in the patterns, Peter as usual putting up a strong performance in the continuous and point sparring and was a delight to watch as he perfomed Yul gok Hyung to win his points division, Lori Burgess returning to some form produced an outstanding effort in her point sparring, with Lachlan Guy participating in his first ever contact sparring match to go through the 3 rounds to come out on top, also a nice effect in his pattern. George Drinkwater was unfortunatley knocked out of both sparring divisions by one of his club mates but put up a great show in his patterns, lastly Colm Wightman strong pattern placed him 2nd in the patterns and fought George Drinkwater in the point sparring 3rd round to take out the 3rd place from George.
Lindsay Guy scored well in his patterns to win the Black Belt Division and got a fair hiding in the continuous sparring by a 7 times Australian TaeKwon Do Champion (Ouch). Also being pushed back to fight for 3rd and 4th in the points sparring by the same competitor
